Travelling is always a good idea, isn’t it? So, let’s continue our travel around England with you. This time the place we are going to focus on is a spa city – Bath.
Bath is situated in the county of Somerset, near River Avon. We can judge from its location that it is a lovely place where you can enjoy the breathtaking view of water and outstanding natural beauty. This city also has something special in it, like many other English cities: Bath is the only city in the United Kingdom offering natural thermal hot springs with its Roman Baths and more recent Thermal Bath Spa (since 2006).
There are hundreds of places of accommodation – including more than 80 hotels, two of which have ‘five-star’ ratings and several restaurants, pubs and others, making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Visitors here can enjoy music and comedy festivals held all around the year, and also visit the galleries, museums, shopping centers, parks and gardens welcoming their visit.
Bath also boasts several architectural elements; the most notable of which is the Royal Crescent. It is reported to be among the greatest examples of Georgian Architecture in the United Kingdom built as a range of houses in crescent. There are many other worth-visit places including Pulteney Bridge and the majestic Circus.
